I tried a Python water changer thing last night for the first time, and it was fantastic. I resisted for a long time because of wondering how to put water back in without mixing in dechlorinator. It seems to work to just add it as you go. The fish are showing no ill effects. It is SOOOOOOO much easier than the siphon/bucket method. Has anyone else had good luck with these? :woot:

Its the only way:D

Its only the most popular way to change your aquarium water. :p
its the only way for me:)

yeah they are really sweet until, like an idiot, you turn the valve on while it is hooked up to the hose in your house and soak everything.

so when yo put the water back in you just add the dechlor to the tank?

I USE IT .. i also use a 600gph pump for water changes

It is safe to add water right back into the aquarium right out of the hose and add dechlorinator at the same time. The organics in our aquariums most likley exhaust the chlorine in our tap water pretty quick anyway.

I want to get one but I replced all the faucets in my house with "designer" one that you cant screw a connector onto.so its still the bucket brigade for me :swear:

Python makes a universal adaptor the will hose clamp over your faucet outlet. It is rubber lined and has an additional rubber insert for smaller sizes. THe rubber liner will not scratch your faucet. I have a few customers with faucets that the plastic sink adaptor would not work on so I use this universal adaptor instead, works real well.
