Has anyone else ever had a hard time with a Python not sucking up the junk from the bottom? Do I need a different size end on it? If so, a wider or narrower end? It seems to suck up just so far, then sits there refusing to go any higher! It's so pissing me off. The tank is a 75g.

My 220 gallon tank vacuums easier then the 75. WHY?!

I remove the big plastic piece and just use the end of the hose to clean my sand. It provides a much more powerful suction.

Mine has been doing the same thing since we moved a month ago. I think it is cause the water pressure is less here then at my old house.

Do you it hook up to the same faucet for both tanks?

Doesn't it suck up the sand too?

I'm always fighting trying to not suck up the sand.

I have the same problem your 220 has more water volume helps to push the water.... just turn your hot water on for a couple seconds and it will suck the crap out....

You know, I tried that just today...removed the end and tried just using the tubing. Yeah, the suction was great, but it kept sucking up too much sand!

Actually, when I drain my tanks, I don't hook them to the sink because we have a septic tank which fills too quickly. So I throw the end out the door or window, then just hook it to the sink for filling.

I just wondered if a narrow OR wider end would allow stronger suction. My sand looks so nasty and I can't get the junk up off of it.

How big are they?
How Much?
And where are you?:naughty:

I'm in Panama City

make sure all the connections are tight on that green plastic valve...if they get loose then you'll lose suction
