My new Delhz is not banded. Though he does have little black spots on him.
I remember reading somewhere on here that those are harder to find.

DO they charge more for these? I remember the guy at my LFS telling me that my Delhz was special. I'm wondering why he said that and if that could be why. I will have to call him and ask him what he meant...lol.

dont look as good IMO, but still it looks like a silver senagal, thats cool.

shouldnt be pricier though.

Your delhezi is CB(captive bred)
Q.I remember reading somewhere on here that those are harder to find.
A.Not really
Q.DO they charge more for these?
A.If they can they will but yours was reasonably priced IMO
Q.I remember the guy at my LFS telling me that my Delhz was special
A.probably because he doesn't know any better
Q.I'm wondering why he said that and if that could be why.
A.see the above answer-Anne

Spotless delhezis will still grow up to be a big beauty. I think Anne covered all your questions. At the size your bichirs are I would keep them away from the angels until they're 5-6".

sorry to say there not to rare and not to valuable as far as delhezis go the rare delhezi is the so called TIGER delhezi which has tons of black stripes and spots VERY nice looking delhezi

But don't get me wrong all delhezis are nice polys i would love to have one spots and stripes or not

Oh I dont care if he is valuable or not. He is with me for life no matter what. :D
And no isn't in with any angels. Just a platy and a swordtail whom get along with him very well.

Also I just wanted to make sure I didn't get screwed over on price but Anne told me that I wasn't so I am very happy.

Deeno may not have stripes but he is still going to be a big beautiful fish when he grows up! He is already very cool looking.

Boy, I'm not sure where you're shopping, but $34 for a 1" del is way over priced IMHO! I paid $60 each for my last two endli's and they were both over 12". My 14" congicus was only $75! You need to get online at a place like aquabid.com or try Toyin at Rehobothaquatics.com!

I paid 9.99 for my last del a few years ago...now you cant find one around here for less than 35. The prices of bichirs seem to be increasing. I think the popularity is catching on and africa is getting more and more dangerous to collect in...basic supply and demand :)

Well like I said it seems pretty hard to get them around here and $34 was the lowest I could find out of the three places. Those sell for $50 or $70!!

Online it isn't worth it if you only buy one fish. The shipping is exspensive.
