Quarantine Tank
The end of my rays tail seems to be nipped at by one of my fish. I think its the Leporinus. There also looks like some sort of white fungus at the end of his tail.

What should I do?

Should I Pimafix the tank? Add salt? Raise the temp.?

Advice please!!!

bring the temp up to 86 and add primafix

I dont trust those pima and melafix meds. Theyre more like supplements than real effective medicine. Best bet for tail fungal infections ( which is quite normal ) is to add salt and raise the temp to mid 80s.

I agree! They're not really medicines. Salt and Temp made the difference when I had that with my first ray.

Agreed....how is it doing? Still eats?

well each to their own way of doing things i have great luck with melafix primafix and esha 2000 which are all ray safe

i never use salt rays are not a brackish water fish so it cant be that good for them it may also affect the PH

still eats, i will get rid of the lepo tomorrow....
