I just picked up a pair of Monos yesterday. One 9.5" n the other 8".
The big one is a yellow brown color and the small one has a green tint to it.

So... do Monos have spanglin? I see the tail has nice yellow dots (the middle has nice visible yellow) and the back of his mowhawk has some light white dots too. I was told there is a fair chance they could be Kelberi as they were bought over seas as Kelberi when they were juvis. The 8"er I doubt is a Kel, more like Mono. But the big ones head shape is a lil diff than the smaller one. Hard to describe with no pics cause im posting thru my cell, ill post pics on Monday.

So what r somethings I can try to look at to ID them?
Around what size do Kels start to spangle (usually where does it start... fins or body)?

what I see...
Both have the 3 stripes like mono/kel
Both have red tint on the lower part of the tail
there is no visible form of the hump on the head

Thanks for ur help... I can only ID the clearly visible diffs of Azul, Orino, Pinima and tem (freakin newb...lol)

I guess to make this short... when do Kelberi start showing signs of a Kelberi?
