The lady who lives in the apartment below me is complaining that the smoke from my fireplace is bothering her asthma....but she smokes. This makes no friggin sense. If smoke bothers her asthma, how does she smoke and still live? Is she just a grumpy old lady who just wants to b**** about something? Anyone else have asthma and smoke?

she's just grumpy... one of those people who "doesnt do anything wrong" but finds fault in everyone else's actions.

she probably just wants to *****, but i know a guy that when he doesnt have his inhaler and he starts to get a attack he smokes a ciggeratte. he says it calms him down

idk maybe the nicotine does something.

how does it get into her apartment?

i could possibly understand if its alot of smoke, but i figure a little bit is no worse then what her cigs leave in the air.

i just looked it up smoking appears to exacerbate asthma symptoms.

i say next time she complains, tell her smoking is making it worse.

the only way she can get smoke downstairs is a down draft from my chimney to hers. The chimneys are 2' apart. Chimney is clean. I had 2 different chimney companies inspect both mine and hers last week. Both with a clean bill of health
