Q. on buying Haps. and Peacoks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wild4cichlids.com talk to steve ..he will hook u up ..very nice guy and the price reasonable but he doesn't have a good selection of fish right now or you can get some at livefishdirect.com ..they're good too ( can pick you a 100% male ) i had been order from both of that place and very happy with the fish .

thanks. actually I just ordered from livefishdirect and one fish was dead, another is deformed, and the other 3 are ok so far but only 1 is eating and all there fins are clamped. That could possibly be from the stress of being shipped, at least I hope, and not something worse. I havent had a chance to speak to josh yet but im hoping we can work it out.

I didnt want say that i ordered from them, to see if any one refers them. This was my first time ordering and is wasnt sure what to expect. DOA fish I can understand, but this poor deformed red top lawanda has got me confused on the whole thing. who ever picked out and/or packed it had to of seen how deformed he was.

I not saying anything about the quality yet. It could of been a mistake.

I was looking at bluegrass but there coming from FL so shipment is a little pricey. I'll check out wild4cichlid. I chose livedirect cause they were the closest and have a great selection.

johnny ...weird cause the last shipment that i got from josh ...17fish in total and that was before xmas when the temp here in chicago like real freeze none of the fish is dead or anything ..they even eat right the way in the QT tank . josh even call me and talked to me cause i paid him with my CC thats why he call me so i can gave him the # , he even said its will be 100% all male and he aint lie about it ,i guess with the shipping and everything is 50/50 chance to every body .i think i just got lucky then but the ways that they packed and pick the male out for me like that i dont mind to order some from them near future

well thats good to know. Your right about josh though he was very helpful and really seemed to care. Maybe it's my bad luck, my girlfriend always says i have the worst luck. But ,man is the lwanda deformed, the good thing is that he's eating. I'll post a pic when i get a chance. Now that i gave them some time, the Sulferhead Hap. looks pretty healthy, the Ortoharyx lith. (yellow blaze) looks like he's eating now buts been hiding since he's been in the tank so I really havent had a good look at him so I'm not sure about him yet, but the Copadichromis trewavasae is stil not eating and it seems to have some skin disorder(disease) it looks like he's sheding his scales, there white at the edges, peeling off like?

Does anyone know what that possibly could be?

cichild_killer, its nice to know theres MFK in chi-town. I'm originally from Blue Island, f*!# that cold, I know it to well.

is there alot of white tiny spot on his body? cause ich can make the fish skin peeling off like that too ..
yea still cold as f*k here buddy ..i know where blue island at ..i used to work by orland park just the next town of you ..where you moved now ? hope some where warm:D

Definitly warmer Im in Ventura, CA 1/4 mi. from the beach, not to rub it in but it was 80 degrees out today.

About the disorder, I might be looking into it to much, but the only way I can explain is, if he was a lizard he'd be sheding his skin. I dont know to much about diseases all i've delt with is itchiness.
I dont see white dots on him so im not thinking ick.
I not sure about Chilodnella, to me it looks like dead skin(fish have scales though)and not like white miucus.
Either way if it is any of the 2 or something else what does that me for my other fish.
