I have 1M:1F motoro rays. I cant find feales right now but males are availible. Are rays better to keep more females than males even if i dont plan to breed? would 2M:1F be a problem?

2M to 1F would be a big problem when they mature, the 2 males would both be trying to breed with that 1 female weather you want them to or not. As you are probably aware the mating process for rays is very stressful for the females, with the males taking bites out of there disks. Best ratio is 1M to 2-3F.

Go with: 2 male and 4 female... or 1 male and 3 female :)

2males. 3 females. You want competition between the males

It does help to have more than one male in a system.I had a system with two males and they deff seemed to be in competition with each other to be the first to knock up the female, once a male was pulled the remaining male seemed to lose some interest.

If you do use two males,I would deff put in at least 3 females...if possible...more;)

Multiple males is only a problem if you don't have enough space for them. I've kept all male groups just fine in large systems.
