Will brown java moss ever grow again?
I bought a sandwich size ziplock of java moss and put it outside in the sun with a bunch of guppies. I put it outside to grow and when I looked at it about 3 weeks later and they were all brown. :nilly: I thought they were gonna grow but looks to be dying.

Yeah, I know..Not enough co2 and fert.

If I put the brown java moss into a tank with 2wpg with co2 will they turn green again?

Thanks in advance.

yep its hould grow again.. but i'd only put in a very small amount as its likely to break up pretty bad and blow around your tank. try tie a bit down on to a rock or piece of bogwood.

Java moss dosen't need co2 or very high light infact they can be grown with as little as 0.5 wpg and no co2.

Yeah it'll probably turn green again just tie it to a rock or something.

It probably turned brown due to the heat from the sun not lack of co2 or ferts.

Awesome! I thought they were dead forever. :P

Thanks guys. Will do so. I'll tie them to my driftwood.

Btw, I noticed that you said they'd grow in .5wpg. They'd do fine in my 30 gallon long w/ a 20 watt fluorecent bulb? I thought that tank would never see any live plants with that wpg.
