Qn on Kelvin Temperature (K)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMO the difference between the two is minimal. There are plenty of people who use both with great success.

If the plants are doing fine and your happy with how it looks, stick with the 10000K. When it comes time to change the bulb(s) try a 6500K and see how things do with that.

Hi MFK,

I have a query on Kelvin Temperature (K). I am currently using a 10000K T5HO for my aquarium plants, is it a necessary to change to a 6500K bulbs or can I continue to stick with it ???

its fine

Both will work fine, but the 6500/6700K bulbs will promote faster and healthier growth.

I like the look of 10K Bulbs, but Levi is right. It's a trade off.
