Hi folks,

Can anyone share if the australian lungfish are as bendy/flexible as the west african lungfishes? I am concerned with housing them in a tank that has a width of only 24'....

If they are as bendy as my previous african lungfishes then it would not be a problem for the next couple of years.

Thank you in advance!

DC :)

That's why it still call a lung fish because it can bend

Uh....no. It's still called a lungfish because it shares specific anatomical features with other lungfish. "Bendability" does not enter into classification.

Oddball is quite correct, AULs are the least flexible lungfish, and SALs the most. That said, I'm sure it will be fine in a 2' wide for many years.
