QT question

When I setup the QT tank, I just dose it every day with prime for the 2 weeks, to make up for not having an established filter. Normally this is not enough time to see a nitrite spike so the prime normally can take care of the ammonia. What do you do?

You could try to run your filter on your established tank for about a week to get some BB in it before you switch it to your Q tank........

Normally this would be okay however its a built in filter so its not easy to do, plus you rarely know two weeks ahead of time.
