This is the stand/frame design I came up with for my QT tank.

This is going to be wrapped in plywood as part of a cabinet install, but this the 2x4 stud layout I came up with to take the real weight.

What do you guys think of that one corner ? It will be sitting on 3/4" plywood and it is no more than 12" from the corner to a supporting stud.

This is a 48" X 18" X 18" tank.

Hello; The stand may work as pictured, but the unsupported corner gives me pause. Most stands I have seen and used have had verticle support at all the corners. The tank will be more than 55 gallons by some margin I believe. I usually figgure around 10 pounds per gallon.

Perhaps an additional (red) board between the light blue boards that would run along under the unsupported long portion of the tank. This would help the plywood carry the weight and may help prevent sagging of that area.
