BD season is uppon us. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone has their preference...big spot, many spots, symmetric, good outer spotting, belly spotting, etc.

However, all rays still end up with a price tag on them. SO, in your opinion, what is a TOP notch AAA Quality BD. Pics would help your argument.

Ill chime in, in a bit.

Well we can go the route of 'clean' spotting -

ive always likes large clean spots compared to eclipse or thousand island

these pics are stunning!

Which brings us back to taste. I think its human nature to be drawn to symmetry, and that tends to be found most often in the 'clean' large spotted rays, but, there are rays with heavy spotting, or various sized spots with patterns that still have a symmetry to them. The Thousand Island Cj posted is a good Example....So, would these clean rays be more expensive or desired than say these -

For arguments sake, my top BD's would be the 2nd Clean one I posted before, and this one -

and yet while I think its VERY Impressive, and wouldnt say no to one..still kind of seems like overkill to me -
