If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?

I am importing fish that are both wildcaught and captive bred and I am looking to find a good combination of meds for quarantine. I'm importing some fish that are sensitive to meds like eels, catfish, loaches, puffers, discus etc. Some of the fish are pretty expensive (cross river puffers, high shine platinum jardini, giant golden fire eels, etc) so I need to be cautious.

One thing I would treat all fish with is praziquantel to take care of flukes and some other worms. Otherwise I would only worry about treating for what pops up.

The stuff that I have seen on the last 2 shipments from indonisia have been ammonia burn, hook worms, bichir worms, and ich.

Ich can be taken care of with salt and heat - prazi should deal with the worms.
As for ammonia, not much can be done other than ensuring they are going into a cycled qt.

I’d use some General cure along with levamisole. With repeat dosing. Medicated food with metronidazole. Some time in quarantine will help.
