Quarantine Tank Setup.

Hey everyone,
I want to set up a Quarantine Tank as My 5" arowana has lost its tail....
Im planing to use an old tank of mine..so should i disinfect it?Also what is the minimum tank size required for it?
What sort of filteration should i be using?I have not done this before so please give me everything you have to offer on this subject

For a Q-Tank, as long as the filter can maintain the bio load your good, or over filter for safest route. The established media is where I feel you need to put some thought into.
Will you add meds? If so then do not use carbon. After you use meds, use carbon to eliminate the meds and remove 100% of the carbon after a couple weeks.

As per tank size, it really depends on the fish. Your case there is a upper level swimmer that swims a lot. Length and depth before height for foot print imo.
