quarintine feeders???????????

ok so here is the problem i just got some small pbass and would like to give them live feeders until they reach about 6 inches . i know i need to quarintine the feeders but what does that include..????do i need to give meds or just put in seprate tank and see wich ones look bad or what...any help would greatly be appreciated thanx in advance

There are various ways to Q your feeders. Much of it depends on what you are comfortable with doing. Some people simply buy them and wait 2 weeks or so. Others might add some salt and along with other various disease treatments.

In the end its your call.

You shouldn't medicate, unless necessary. Depending on the feeder, higher temps and salt for two weeks.

I place in a 24g plastic tub with a box filter and salt the water at ich treatment level (2 teaspoons salt per gallon) and wait 2 weeks, discarding any that are obviously sick.

I place in a seperate tank and do 30% water changes every 3-4 days for 2 weeks. Some die off the remainder I feed.
