anyone here have experience with quarter size discus? Are they so small I have to feed them egg yolks or white, and brine shrimp. or are they big enough to eat bloodworms/fish food
with the tail or with out the tail measuring? they will eat flakes,blood worms, and beefheart. that is what my friend is feeding his discus that are that size.

Yes, quarter sized discus can eat regular foods, as long as it will fit into their small mouths. At this size, they need to eat several small meals a day (4-5). All this feeding means the water fouls quickly, and this means daily or every other day water changes to keep from stunting the fish. If you really want to see some fast growth on the little guys, feed them a beef heart mix in the morning, high protein flakes during the day, and live California Blackworms as a last feeding. It'll really put some quick growth on them.
