Qucik question on cycling

When cycling a tank is it ok to do water changes every week or wait until fully cycled?

Ammonia and nitrite levels need to spike during cycling If you do a water change to reduce these levels while the aquarium is cycling you will only be delaying the cycle.

Wait til Ammonia and Nitrite hit 0, and then do a 50 percent water change, after that, if it is possible, add Purigen!

right now i have carbon and bioballs in my fx-5. I would add the purigen for sure.
Any othere suggestions?

I think im in the 2nd stage of cycle all my levels were high now amonia is done ph is good and nitrites are still high only been 2 weeks.

to cycle my tank i have about 2dozen danio's and i also use nutrafin cycle. (All i can find around here)

Ive done this a few times worked out before

The danios alone should be enough to cycle the tank. The bonus is they make decent feeders after the tank is cycled!
