I have a 10 gallon tank setup as a sump, for my planted tank. The problem is there isn't enough room in the sump for all my stuff, If I put another 10 gallon tank next to the first 10 Gallon. If I make a pvc U that goes to the bottom of both tanks and start the siphon, wont they stayed locked to the same water level and never break siphon as long as I don't let the water run out?

What I am wanting is to have the second 10g be used to hold all the equipment. My thinking is with a u with no holes in it, that the two tanks would siphon back and forth to keep a equilibrium? The only thing I don't know about is if the water in the tank without the pump would end up not getting circulated? or will diffusion take care of that?

In theory that will work, but there has to be no chance of air getting into it. You could use an aqualifter to help prevent that.

That will work, however you are correct in that circulation may be an issue. Unless you've got a way to force though the connection I would look to use a larger diameter pvc pipe

It will work, but remember that the water levels WILL NOT be at the same height. The recieving end will be lower than the other one. Depending on your GPH it could be neglegible or drastic. They will hold at those points but just not level to eachother.
