Question about Acrylic Aquariums?

Are they ok to use with reptiles? Will heating lamps or heating pads effect the Acrylic? If it got too hot could it melt or does Acrylic have a high melting point?

A 97F heat lamp could not possibly have the slightest effect on acrylic.
With moniters and reptiles with claws, you may expect a few scratches here and there but they can be buffed out. Non-clawed reptiles such as gecko's, snakes, tortises etc are great choices for acrylic tanks.

a snake would be great for an acrylic aquarium, because they can't leave scratches
