I did a sand bottom using play sand. I finally have it cleared up and I was wanting to add salt. Does the sand raise the salt? or will I be fine there and add the amount it says on the box?

just for more info on the situation, what are you adding aquarium salt for? (not being a wise ***, just trying to figure out your goal) and also what will you be keeping in the tank?
