I have a 180Gal tank. For filtration i was thinking about going with an Ocean Clear 375 and Coralife Turbo Sea Circulation Pump.

My question is, what else do i need to get it running? What else do i have to buy for it?

here are links

That is the setup that i think i want, if you have suggestions please post them

i dont want a wet/dry, i dont like them

The 375 was designed to be the last filter in a series of filters. It would work much better when used after the model 354 polybead bio filter. The 354 can work quite well when used as a stand alone filter. I have 2 of them on different tanks, and use them as the only filtration. They are very good mech. and bio filters, bio filtration is lacking on the 375, and the micron cartridge will clog quickly if used alone. Below is one of my 354's hooked up to a Iwaki pump.

No. With a canister, a pressure rated pump would work much better anyway. That pump does not seem to be rated for pressure use.

I've thought about trying the ocean clear but have read on other forums that people like the Nu-clear better. http://www.marineandreef.com/shoppro/nuclear.html

They have a band that locks the lid on instead of screwing the lid on, add-on stackable system, and also the 100 micron poly-screen insert is very easy to clean(I believe I read it can fit in Ocean Clear also). It's like a plastic material and cleans easily by spraying with a waterhose.

I have yet to personally try either one but I did research them a bit because I wanted some mechanical filtration on my tank, sumps just seem to lack that.

Just thought I would mention it, maybe someone else has actually tried them?

i am soooo lost on what to get. i dont know what i all need, i know i would like atleast 900-1000gph. any help would be appreciated, would like to go the ocean clear route, i dont want to buy two small canisters.

does anybody know if a turbo sea 1740P would work or if that would be too much pressure?? I did end up getting the 1100P but she finally quit on me after 2 years! the price diffrence between the 1100P and the 1740P is only a few bucks. But if the 1740P isnt going to do anything for me another 1100P will be getting ordered

Anybody help me on this one please??
