I all ready have a arowana about 9". But I can't find another one the same size. Can I put one in that's bigger and if so how much bigger?

It would depend on your tank size, and species of arowana. In most cases, it is safer to add a larger species of fish to a tank of smaller ones but there are no guarentees. If you have a huge tank with plenty of space for both, than I say go for it, but have a divider handy jic. Usually, you do not want to put only two members of an agressive family in one tank, it would be better to add one more to make it three, seeing as there is less of a chance that they will go after one another. However, if you have a jardini arow and want to put a bigger one in, or an arow of a different species, DO NOT DO IT! jardini's are extremely aggressive and territorial, and are best kept in a tank of their own. good luck with it though! arows are beautiful fish.

You could probably get 2 or more in there still. :D
I know i would

you can go anywhere from 14 to 18". i had a 9" aro with a 20" aro. eventually the smaller one caught up to the bigger one and there the same size now lol well almost. the bigger one is jus fatter and looks older. but it took atleast 2 years to even them out. but the small one should be fine, as long as they dont show agression towards eachother
