question about black aro

do they grow as fast as a silver? i no they dnt get as big but so they grow fast cause i have had silvers and the babys grow to a foot so quick...????any one
 
yea grow as large but slower
 
Realistically. how long would it take a 3inch black aro to get 12inch ( eating twice a day ) (twice a week water changes.) i want to put them with rays n are scared they might get eatin. if people can give me a range for how long it would take that b great.
 
Before it jumped from the tank, I had a baby black aro grow from a baby to 9" in about 4 months. Baby aros should be fed 4 to 5 times a day. At about 5 or 6" you can reduce feedings down to twice a day.
 
daym....i only feed my fish twice a day. i kinda feel like it might b over feeding. also thru out the day i throw pellets in. hopeing to get the blacks on pellets quick. thnx for the info. any one els ?
 
my black aro's went from 6" to 15" in about 6 months.
i got baby blacks now for about a week so im also interested in this thread.

i am power feeding tho..
 
what is the best thing to power feed them ? i just got one at 3 inch and i want him to hit atleast 6 inch befor i put him with other fish.
 
feed freeze dried blood worms and broken up pellets. Do enough water changes to keep nitrates under 10ppm.
