Question about C. Iniridae III

Does anyone know how to be able to accurately sex them just by looking at them? What are the physical differences between male and female? I recently bought one and originally thought she was a female but now I'm having second thoughts. I'll update with new photos later.

The males have a distinct spotted pattern at the base of the latter half of the dorsal and a high spotted tail fin, females lack the dorsal spotting and have very very minimal spotting on the tail, lacking the red there of the male.

Gorgeous. I've always wanted any of the Iniridae species, never had the chance. Super cool. You able to go pick up some more? Mature adults in breeding dress are one of the most attractive cichlids I've seen.

Will the spots on the males appear at a certain size? Or dominance level? Do submissive males have subdued color scheme, like African cichlids? Noob here...
