Hi all. Just a quick important question.
I have a 125 gallon with a HOB penguin 200 and a cascade 1500 canister.
I am having trouble with the media in the canister. My current set up for the basklets is as follows
TOP
BASKET 1 floss polishing pads
BASKET 2 floss polishing pads
BASKET 3 carbon
BASKET 4 Course sponge
BASKET 5 Prefilter rings
BOTTOM
I feel like I am not building up enough bacteria as my nitrate levels are a little high. Not too bad I think they are around 20 PPM.
I was things about putting biorings after the carbon and eliminating a basket of polishing pads. Or should I put the biorings before the carbon, and move the carbon up. Any help would be a great help. Thanks
