Hello everyone just a simple question. I have a large tank with some large but not really aggressive fish. I'm currently getting a lot of Black Beard Algae and was wondering if the larger Chinese Algae Eater would work on this stuff like the smaller Siamese Algae Eaters. The tank's big enough and I have fish that can hold their own so I'm not really worried about aggression.

CAE don’t touch algae, and very few species will actually eat bba. Even saes slow down with it as they age.
H2O2 dips are usually the most effective way to kill bba. I had luck killing it by taking decor covered in bba and putting it in my scud (gammarus amphipod) tank to be cleaned. They will eat anything and destroy all algaes, of course, I couldn’t get it all so it has come back. So I just have to cycle what goes in to be cleaned to keep the tank algae free.
