question about clown knives

Yes. when mine was very small . I kept him in a 20 gallon with gouramis and tetras. No problem..
I put him in bigger tank when he got about 6 inches

yes you can
i keep my 4 to 5 ncher clown knife with a community tank with golden barbs, mollies, eels and genreeally peacefull fish
byut they do tend to chase them once in a while
not to eat but to fend off from food they personally want for themselves
but when they get bigger, , not much ibgger i think 7 inches above, they will eat small fish
i see them eying it up now

You probably can.
But why chance it?
Why not grow them up for a while in a tank by themselves till they get used to your water and the food you are going to feed them first. What is the rush.
If you treat them well they will live for several years.
Thats how I did it with mine.
