Ok, so I have a planaria and copepods infestation in my 100G tank with my 2 large oscars. Now I know they are completely harmless, but they give me a feeling of an unhealthy tank. Which I know is not the case. Anyway, I just want to get rid of them completely. Now I know I can increase the w/c's which is no problem. And feed less to try to get rid of them, but as many of you know oscars can be very messy eaters. So I want to try to treat the tank with a copper product. But I do have a couple of questions.
1) Has anyone ever attempted to do what I'm about to do?
2) What are your feelings and experiences with copper?
Oh yeah, all I have are the to O's in the tank.

Oscars are fine with standard copper-based treatments, but dont overdose, especially if your water is soft.
Also think about adding 1 or 2 scavengers that will eat most if not all the little bits of food that the oscars create. Something armour-plated is probably best, like plecs or Dorads. Synodontis also work well.
