Question about earth eaters

i have four earth eaters all 2-2 and a half inches. I was wondering how fast do gymnogeophagus meridionalis grow. And how big they get. And how big do they have to be to breed.

I have one G. meridionalis sp. "Norte". I have had him for about five months and he is the slowest growing of all my Eartheaters, up to 2.5" from about 1.75" when I bought him.
