Ive had my birchir for about a month now and he's about 4 or 5 inchies. I mainly feed him blood worms but i was wondering if anybody knew any good sinking food i could give him cause he usally doesn't eat stuff that floats, and usually the blood worms float. And would the same food i feed my birchir be ok for the 2 catfish i caught out of a river (i think that they are bullhead or flathead catfish) both are about 1inch.

No to play copycat here or anything, but I've been wondering the exact same thing about my Senegal. So far Blood Worms seem to be working out o.k, but I'd like to mix it up a bit. I love pizza, but I probably wouldn't if I had to eat it everyday... Well maybe...

my bichir eats hikari cichlid gold, earthworm sticks, garlic/paprika bits and spirulina pellets. he used to eat raw prawn and squid but for some reason he doesnt anymore.
particularly relishes the hikari cichlid gold though. fun to watch eating it too.

Massivore Delite my bichir looove it.

Mine take hikari sinking carnivore pellets. There are sinking shrimp pellets and the hikari cichlid pellets in blue bags sink i believe if yours are too small for the carnivore pellets. Also any frozen foods like beefheart, bloodworms, and brine shrimp.

my sen goes crazy for krill and live black worms...(both sink ;))

mine love live ghost shrimp. but they eat krill an cichlid gold.
