question about ferts and eco complete...and co2...

i have a 55 with a current usa 2x54 48"....i put in some swords and what not and most of them look great...2 are looking a lil brown and stained and not soo good...lol...im wondering if its just natural plant cycle and they will come back or if they need something else...i dont have a c02 kit...ive heard u can make one so i was thinking of doing that...if not i could buy one...what do u guys think...c02 nec??...and also i havent used any ferts...im use eco-complete and have been told by a couple people that i really dont have to use ferts...so what do u guys think???...gonna see if i can get some pics up in a lil bit...thanks...

ok 55 gallon with eco i have had that set up in the past also with swords eco is a complete nutrient based soil that will last a while to say the least.. yes you need more light swords are known to need a lot of light i dont light to use the watts per gallon but they say 3-5 watts per gallon.... your plants do need food "co2" and doseing ferts helps .... i have a complete line of seachem each containing different beneficial and necessary supplements to promote plant growth.....to sum it all up basicaly you have a house for your dog.... no water no food no exercise... how healthy will he be
