Alright I know as a rule FH's can be really nasty, and should probably not have a lot of tank mates. My question is, is there any type of FH or hybrid that would be ok in a tank of mean parrot fishes?
I really like the look of the FH but dont want to risk the rest of my tank.

buy a small sized flowerhorn...... but dont risk the life of the FH for the parrots.......
cant reallly tell abt big FH's........ coz i had 3 parrots in my tank......donnno exactly wot happend......
one fine morning,,,,,,, only 2 parrots were left.........
so better go for a smaller flowrhorn......

I heard you could keep male FH with female parrots.

totallly dependent of the sizes of both fishes.......
if they get along wellll, then u r lucky with your go......

It's a hit and miss thing. Some flowerhorns are really relax, some aren't. The ones that are really peaceful towards females, you can keep them with a female for life. I've had a few that has been with another female flowerhorn for over half a year now and no aggression at all. But keep in mind that this doesn't mean they will not eat the eggs if the 2 pair are peaceful together. Breeding and keeping them together is a whole different concept here.
Being a short body/bonsai or not, it makes no difference. They are still flowerhorns and will still be aggressive as flowerhorns. A MFK member here with his bonsai put in with a trimac, and the trimac got beat to death. Don't underestimate any bonsai just because they are small, they are still flowerhorn. Good luck...:D

Well darn, I think that sums it up. I guess I'll just have to find a place for an extra tank in the house :naughty:. I cant risk the FH tearing up my other fishes. Thanks guys for the information!
