ive only had my fluvals for a few months and i have nothing bad to say about em. they keep my 125 crystal clear. how many years can i expect to get out of them>?

I have never thrown one away, and never had to buy a major part. I got my first aquarium in 1969, so I am not really new at this. Does that answer your question?
