question about "gallon a dollar" sales

I'm just wondering how people know about these sales when they come up at petsmart or petco or wherever they have them. I've noticed people on forums in the past stating that they'd be getting a new tank at the next "gallon per dollar sale," but I never hear about when they actually happen.

I need about a 20 or 30 gallon grow out and I would like to get a decent deal on it.

i wanna say its in the fall sep or oct, and it is something like no bigger than 55 gal. There was a thread the other dat talking about this.

You know, for a tank that size, Craigslist has many of them listed for even cheaper than $1 a gallon. Alot of times, they also have complete tanks for less than $1 a gallon. Hope this helps, The Doctor.

craigslist is great. i got my 120g off there pretty cheap. $300 for the tank, stand, lights, and delivery to my house. i could have gotten an even better deal with some other people but this guy was willing to deliver to my house.
