I just got a gar fish from my LPS but it looks different from my other gar does anyone know wat kind of gars they’re? And how often should I feed this guys?? Thanks!

The ones in the photos are spotted and striped pike characins. False Gars.

Oh really? So what’s the closest to a real gar? I think it looks like Florida Gar doesn’t it?
They do remind me of a Florida Gar but not true gar. These would be closest thing to a real gar. Even bicuda as well reminds me of gar but also a Characin.
Needle nose gar. Requires brackish waters usually. Can get up to a foot long.
