Question about glass+sand

I have a pool buddy that is going to give me some sand he says that it has Glass in it, should I be worry about that. I just wanted to make sure this is that right stuff and that I won't hurt my fish.

I would not risk it. Small shards of glass might get caught in the gills. Or when
"Scratching" the glass might get caught in the scales. IMO.

Your buddy might be confused. Silica is used in glass, and pool sand is silica glass. Get a clearer idea what he means by glass in the sand. If it's shards of recycled glass, that's a totally different story than glass beads or silica

Agreed. Make triple sure before you go adding it to your tank.
