anyone have any experiance with them? how big do they get? where can i get a quality specimen? im sure some of our venders....anybody have any experience with bluegrassaquatics...i saw they had some

Grammodes are really cool. I've heard they can grow up to 12" but the biggest I've seen is about 10". I have a 7" male and 4-5" female (separated) that I may try and breed one day if they would ever get some more size on them. Grammys are slow growers ime.

I don't have experience with bluegrassaquatics but Rapps has some in stock. His prices are usually higher than most but I've never been disappointed with my order. Check him out at: http://tangledupincichlids.com/stock.html

My male is one of my favorites in my tank. He is not shy at all as others have reported. At 5" or so, he's not shy around much larger tankmates either. He's not so much aggressive as he is confident. Definately a cool fish for sure.

Another upside is you can get away with keeping one in something as small as a 55g for life. The only downside I've found is their slow growth.

My male came from Jeff Rapps via my LFS. I've never seen anything but quality come from Jeff Rapps, and I've seen dozens of his fishes posted here. You can't go wrong with TangledUpInCichlids. To help offset some of the shipping cost (which can be high), try and see if anyone else local to you wants to order anything and split the cost.

Bluegrassaquatics is great. I'd buy from bluegrassaquatics as quick as I would from tangledupincichlids (TUIC). TUIC has a better selection. I don't have anything to add that the others posts haven't covered.

Do a search there's quite abit of Grammodes keepers on this board, with alot of good information gleaned from experience.
