The two teaspoons per gallon equals 3.75 cups of salt in my 90. Does that sound right? Seems like a lot. Also, does fish age matter with a salt treatment? I have 6 one inch dovii in there at the moment. I was going to move them to a 360 today but will keep them in the 90 to treat the ich. Are water changes recommended during the treatment? If so do I replace the salt I lose during the changes?

Other sites have said to use 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons. That works out to 1.75 cups or so. I'm worried about overdosing but I don't want to add so little that it has no effect.

Guppies are very salt tolerant. I wouldn't worry about over dosing, just bring up salinity slowly and don't forget to add heat as this will kill the Ick in and of itself. Some of the finest lines are some what salt sensitive, what line are you growing?

Haha oops. Guppy is a member on this forum who has a sticky about treating ich. The fish I have in the tank are small dovii, about 1 inch each.

I would actually hit them with 2 teaspoon per gal and perform a water change the following day. Drop the salt bomb
