Question about herichthys

I have been looking online but cannot find an answer. What if any is the differance between a herichthys carpintis and a herichthys carpintis "escondido". I know that a herichthys cynoguttatus is a regular texas cichlid and that the carpointis is the green texas, but what i dont understand is the escondido part?

The escondido variant is just from a different river. They look a bit different, but are the same species. (I think one has larger spots, but I'm not positive)

Just a different variant of the fish from a different place. Very cool though! They have great big spots all over...

Escondido are from a different river (the Escondido) and have worm markings on the face.
