I am not considering selling mine at all! Just out of curiosity how much would you consider a breeding trio to be worth, 1 male 2 females that are proven breeders. Mine are on the second litter for 1 and the other is prego now.

U can check with ur LFS for the pricing :)
As it might range for different places.
Its pretty hard to come by in my country
So it costs quite a bit.

LFS rarely have Hystrix.

As for the trio.. Maybe $500? People were only paying $75 for Hystrix this year and although yes, CB > WC, IMO people just aren't going to pay that much more for CB pups when they know what WC have been selling for.

i will pay more than $500 ;) just depends on how bad someone wants them as to what they are willing to pay. if you do start considering let me know and we can talk $

Lol, @ Jeffers.

I could see 600 - 700 maybe since they are proven, but depends on what you and the decide is worth giving and getting

I have a trio now, and if you count in all the expences (... and all those hours...) i have spent in the process of getting a hold of them, we are talking 2200-2300 USD (got one in Germany, and two in Sweden).

For me histrix is a very exclusive ray.
I bet it sounds ridiculous for many of you, but i would laugh at anything up to 1000-1500 USD (after that i may not laugh anymore, but still i would have handed over the required cash).

The most under rated Ray in the hobby!
I still have a pair, one wild caught male of no more than 13cm disc and a 10" female i bred myself, i'm totally in love with this species. As with any species of Potamotrygon there are good and bad examples,Proximus yours are the best on this forum inparticular that special female, when they have patterns like hers coupled with the tall body and wonderful posture and style only seen in Hystrix imo then they are worth whatever your pocket will allow.
Unless you have owned this species for some considerable time it won't be obvious to many people the qualities these fish possess....a truly magnificent creature!
