I currently introduced a Female Hystrix, about 7inches to my 120 high that houses a pair of motoros, P reticulatas & silver arowanas, pleco & shovelnise. My question is while all the other rays graze the bottom, my hystrix continuously swims around. She looks healthy, well fed, but I never see her eat, she constantly swims, is this normal hystrix behavior, has anyone experienced this?

In my experiense (2 days long lol), my new 4" pup didn't eat till this morning. I think it is based on how comfy the Ray gets. Also, it sounds like your tank might be over crowded so the Nitrate (params in general) might be a lil high

I am still learning, but my tank is established, water parameters are perfect, rays & aros are fed consistently & eating , fat bodies, completely healthy Im not sure?????

My rays only seem to swim around when they are hungry..

Maybe she just needs time to settle in..

Pix?

Man!!!! I hope the best for your Rays, as that tank is very small. Hope you plan to upgrade real soon
