Question About Jewels.....

I Have 2 Jewels, both around 3 inches and they love to chase eachother and bump eachother, is that normal behavior for Jewels or are they beating down on eachother, there both young still and i see no markings of over aggresion but they are always chasing eachother around ... ??????????

well turns out they were indeed hurting eachother so i seperated them

yes it is good you did,...too much chasing is bad... eventually wears the one down and causes stress.. if there were a few more fish you may lesson the chasing because others would be chasing instead of the same one all the time..

In my experience with these fish if there is allot of chasing they start to breed very soon after was one smaller than the other ?
Had you just rearranged the tank decor or done a big water change this setts them off too .
Also moving them to a new tank gets mine breeding the same day .
I have also had my pair almost kill the spare I had through chasing , put it in another tank and my polleni killed it anyway.
