QUESTION ABOUT LIGHTING ( MOON LIGHTS)

question about MOON LIGHTS . i bought my first set of moon lights from an aquatic store about 6 months ago and love them they look great at night i bought a strand of 20 led (blue) moon light for around $50 . My question is now christmas is coming i can buy a strand of 40 led (blue lights from home dept or canadian tire for about $20 double the lights half the price . what is the differance in the lights can i just use these christmas led lights as moon lights ??? i am almost sure they are the same thing but not possative ?

You can use them no problem. The one thing that could be different is the type of bulb. Wattage is the main issue, but also some of the moonlights coming out now are actually luxeon LED which is a much more powerful form of LED.
