question about Marineland Monterey deep dimension stand

Hi, hoping someone can help me out here.

Does anyone own the 36" x 36" Monterey stand? I would like to know the actual exact dimensions of the flat top surface. The dimensions are usually for the glass, so I'm assuming to fit the frame this stand's surface is bigger than 36" x 36". I need to know because I'm going to order a custom aquarium and could save $300-400 if I could use this stand instead of a custom stand.

Appreciate the reply. If you have a tape measure handy, would you mind measuring the width of it inside the lip? Since I'm going custom I need to know exactly how much space is there. Marineland hasn't answered me. Would really love to save a few hundred bucks here, plus I like the style of this stand.
