Question about Media in a Sump Wet/Dry

I have a Pro Clear 175 and I was wondering if I could put media in the sump? I have bio balls in there now and no room for any media but can I put it in the water that is the second bay were the pump is?

Bio Max

as long as it does not block the pump or displace to much water to chock the pump you should be fine.

okay cool. ya its not alot. all the media is in its own bags as well so it should block the pump.

bio-balls are nice, don't get clogged as easy, but have less surface area than ceramic media.

Maybe put all your bio-max in a silk mesh sack and put it in the 2nd bay of the sump, that way they aren't all loose and won't go all over or block the pump
