Anybody have some real pic of channa melanoptera?
What is the main different point from marulioides?
It is flowerless and without tail-spot?

Thanks,
Ole'

Some people called that blue variant marulioides (commonly from Sumatra island, Indonesia) is melanoptera. So do I. And many of them is less flower than the yellow variant. I had one, but got killed by his girlfriend. Sadly, I have no pict left in my PC.

bleeker found melanoptera in borneo so its original from borneo but believed was also found in some part of sumatera , bleeker found melanoptera 1855 and marulioides 1851, so bleeker sure that melanoptera and marulioides is different species so youre statement melanoptera is blue variant marulioides is wrong , melanoptera lack flower and ocell in the caudal fin.
