question about mirror....

hi friendz .....
this is my RD..

today i kept the mirror outside the tank for some time. from 2pm to 5pm.
but i noticed he got frightened n soon was stressed...

can u tell me how to place a mirror for him?
n how much time shud i place it for?
wat will be the effects of placing a mirror?

Not sure what the benefits are, but my FH just recently started reacting to a mirror. He's about 8 inches. When he was smaller, he'd react like yours, now he flares up like a peacock, jerks, twitches, and tries to ram the mirror.

This I only do for a few minutes every few days or so just to watch him put on a show. I wouldn't leave it for too long. Wouldn't want him damaging himself because he gets kind of violent.

i'v not started yet....

he also has a double flowerline it is not visible in this pic's as i dont have a proper camera. i'l shoot it with a professional cam ( my cousin has 1)

my question is will get visible as he grows older???
 
I used a mirror to cure mine of shyness. At first he was afraid, then curious, then the guy in the mirror was his best buddy. He use to hide all the time, now he's out and about and friendly. I leave it up all the time cause he seems to be happier when it's up.
 
as far as i know mirrors are used for the bringing out the best colouration of your fh i.e it makes it feels that an intruder(reflection) is coming

i have not used this but i would not suggest it as it wouldn't make fish happy at all
