I know you are not supposed to do it. So i searched it up on the internet just because i was curious. I saw on another forum, that if you have a med and need to put in another one that is not related to it, than put carbon in. So i did that immediately. I put carbon in about 24hrs ago (mind i added 2 large treatments of tetracyline 2 times before with only small water changes) and it picked up a lot of it. So now the water is still slightly tinted orange. Should i do another water change, than add the new meds? Or should i do a water change, wait until tomorrow, do another water change and than add the meds?

These fish have gill flukes so if i let it go too long with out treating they will die and i really do not want that to happen. So i have to put in the new meds ASAP.

Some quick stats:
Ammonia: 0.0ppm
nitrite: 0.0ppm
nitrate: 10ppm and lower
pH: 7.6 and stable
Daily water changes of 2g no matter if they are sick or not (55g tank)
Feeding and they are eating.

Which new meds are you going to use? Some meds do contraindicate each other which is why you should NOT combine them. Do a large water change and keep the carbon for another 48 hours to be sure. The carbon must be freshly bought.

Tetracycline does not treat for flukes. You need praziquantel, fenbendazole or flubendazole for this.

On the box it said it treats for flukes. It must've done something because they are still alive

Is it one of your datnoids?
Where are you located?
How did you know it's flukes?

Just get prazi.

Is it Tetra Lifeguard or tetracycline?

The title of the thread asks if it is suitable to mix meds after using carbon etc. It's all up there. So now i am using tetra lifeguard

Don't mix the meds. I already indicated before what you can do but I'd personally switch to praziquantel. Less risk killing your BB.
